My process always starts with drawing, often outside observing nature. I keep sketchbooks and do lots of smaller paintings when traveling, these drawings are often very loose, expressive and experimental. The ideas shown here in this collection of 'works on paper' inform my larger paintings. These smaller works would look great framed up.
